WORK CONTEXT /
BACKGROUND:
World Vision India is on a mission to meet the overwhelming needs of
children under five in the area of health and nutrition. Even after
several years of effective intervention, the high level of malnutrition
in our operational areas are still posing a major threat to the
transformational development of the communities in which we are working.
IP-CH was created to combat malnutrition and bring it down to manageable
levels.
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Provide
training, support and monitoring in terms of maternal and child health
nutrition in the allocated ADPs (>5 ADPs)

Program training, handholding, monitoring and evaluation

·Provide
training and handhold the staff of ADPs and Community Mobilizers
(CM).
·Support
ADPs in strengthening the existing nutrition interventions and
integrate the ongoing programs of ADP with a special focus on under
nutrition
·Ensure
that the proposed project activities are achieved within the time
frame
·Track
the impact, provide timely feedback to ADPs, IPCH technical team and
PMOs |

Networking
|
Facilitate networking of the ADPs with Departments and Programs
concerned with the health of mother and child especially village,
block and taluk public hospitals, NRHM programs, Village Health and
sanitation committees, ICDS, school health program authorities,
panchayat raj institutions, nutrition rehabilitation centers, NGOs,
private organisations and other related departments at the district
and state level. |

Capacity Building
|
·
Keep
updated on technical aspects of maternal and child health nutrition
through regular reading, dialogue, participation in meetings and
trainings.
·
Identify
specific learning needs of staff, work with the IPCH team, PMOs and
organize capacity building events like trainings and cross visits.
·
Network
with training agencies to meet the capacity building needs of the ADP
staff team. |

Reporting & Documentation
|
·
Ensure
timely reporting to IPCH technical team and respective PMOs.
·
Document
and share the best practices with the IPCH team, cluster ADPs and PMO. |
