 Communication Officer required by

United Nations Population Fund

51% of India’s population is in the reproductive age-group. Over 88 million couples require contraceptive coverage, and of them only 53% are currently using contraceptives. 157 million more people will be added by 2016. Facts like these make work in the area of population and reproductive health absolutely exciting.

UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund, is an international development agency that supports countries in ensuring that every pregnancy is wanted, every birth is safe, and every girl and woman is treated with dignity and respect. This calls for our constantly innovating ways that overcome cultural and geographical barriers to talk to people about their sexual and reproductive health and rights.

With our advocacy, mass media and outreach campaigns, print material and media relations rapidly increasing in scale, our Advocacy and Communications team at Delhi is looking for a Communication Officer who is power-packed with ideas, skills and the desire to make a real difference out there in the field.

If you have a Masters degree, with at least 2 years of relevant experience in Advertising/Communication, including hands-on knowledge in handling development sector campaigns, visit  india.unfpa.org to download the job details. And, as most great opportunities don’t last forever, this one too comes with an application deadline: 5 November 2010.
