Finance and Support Services Officer - South Sudan

The position which reports to the Country Programme Manager is responsible for all aspects of Financial and Support Services within the South Sudan Country Program and participates in broader aspects of management as well as programs design and implementation.

The incumbent will be involved in the formulation and implementation of sound financial and administrative procedures and plans while overseeing the preparation of the financial statements and returns in accordance with statutory, regulatory and other requirements. The position also supports in strengthening financial management, accountability and capacities of partners in accordance with the Sightsavers Partnership Development Policy.

The incumbent will also facilitate the development of annual financial forecasts and monitor its implementation, as well as provide challenge and support to other organizational program’s formulation, assessment and development. The ideal candidate who should be South Sudanese national will possess a university degree in accounting and finance as well as professional qualification in accounting (e.g. CPA, ACCA, CIMA). S/he should have significant working experience ideally in an INGO environment but experience of audit and government organisations would also be advantageous. S/he should also have experience in project management, Human Resource Management and Administration.

S/he should have good interpersonal, communication skills and an in-depth knowledge of computer financial packages
