Job Title: Tenancy Project Coordinator
Employment Status: Regular Fulltime
Starting Salary: DOE. Final compensation will be based the individual's work history, experience and educational background.

Travel Requirements: Local, regional and international travel.

Basic Description of the Position
This individual will be primarily responsible for the preparation and implementation of
Core Duties:
• Prepare a national plan for the tenancy project that includes the promotion, advocacy and research regarding tenancy for rural poor consistent with RDI mission and RDI strategic objectives at the state and national level..
• Identify communication tools needed to implement plan and develop plan to produce the needed materials in coordination with the national communications director.
• Assist National RDI Advisor in the formation of a national tenancy advisory committee and provide administrative and technical support for this committee.
• Through research and visits to the states produce a document that outlines the key issues to be addressed in tenancy liberalization.
• Based on the research prioritize the states for implementation of a series of workshops focused on tenancy liberalization. Organize and facilitate state and national level workshops as needed.
• Produce needed documentation including reports, studies and other materials needed for the implementation of the project.
• Obtain, understand, and effectively communicate and disseminate project research results to a range of audiences.
• Coordinate media, NGO and other briefing events and Project workshops.
Required Qualifications
Education: Master’s degree in a related field required. Additional degree and/or certification preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience that includes the performance of some or all of the duties described above. Excellent writing, communication and research skills required. Self-motivation and ability to set and meet goals; exacting attention to detail; working knowledge of budgets and financials; flexibility and ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects.
Knowledge of internet-based research, rural development and poverty issues required.

Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work in support of and collaboratively with a range of people at all levels, including RDI employees both foreign and domestic, Project management team, RDI donors, RDI partners including government officials, visitors, contractors and subcontractors, outside vendors and services suppliers, and other administrative staff members.
Teamwork Skills: Ability to both lead and work as a member of teams, including consensus building, communications, and leadership skills.
Communications Skills: Superior abilities to communicate in English (writing, orally, and non-verbally). Includes an ability to make and use distinctions as to types, frequency, tenor, and levels of communications, depending upon the circumstances, audience, recipient, and content.
Language Skills: Fluency in English and Hindi required. Proficiency in other local languages highly desired.
Software Skills: Ability to proficiently use Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Publisher, and other software.
