Place of work- Bangalore
Work time: Monday to Friday: 9.30 AM to 6.00 PM, Saturday: 9.30 AM to 1.30 PM
Reporting to: Executive Director

About Prakruthi
Prakruthi is a Bangalore based international not-for-profit organisation working in India and other South Asian countries since 1991.Prakruthi envisages a society where the economic and social divide created by a non-egalitarian system is minimized. In attempting to do this, Prakruthi works with the poor and the marginalized in various sectors of Indian economy such as plantation workers, small and marginal farmers, women, youth and children. We have adopted the strategy of linking the corporate world and communities of people in trying to achieve our stated mission.

Prakruthi’s vision is to empower all, irrespective of barriers and abilities, to decide for themselves a free and holistic life experience and being fully aware of their rights and duties in an enabling environment synergizing human and natural resources.


Prakruthi has actively campaigned for Corporate Social Responsibility with those who manage the coffee, tea, sugarcane and garment industries, and persuaded them to make some room for small growers and workers under their ample umbrellas. Given the importance of Corporate Social Responsibility in Prakruthi’s activities and inthis report, we present a brief summary for the few uninitiated: Corporate Social Responsibility is a concept of business ethics whose time has come, and which, especially after the financial crisis of 2007-2008 that began on Wall Street, is the perfect idea to replace the former ethos of unbridled capitalism that Greed is Good. According to this concept, corporations are responsible not just to their stockholders, but also to their stakeholders: members of society and social groups affected by their decisions. They have an obligation to take into account the impact their actions have on the good of society and of the Planet Earth, and to identify, engage with, and consult with their stakeholders. As more corporations recognize the importance of CSR, and the value of considering not just the company’s financial bottom line, but also the community’s bottom line, the welfare of humanity and of the planet will benefit.

Job description


Human Resource Management
*  Complete HR Management– Recruitment & Training, Policies & Process management, Salary & Compensation, Performance Management, Contract Employee Management, etc. Statutory Compliances and Liaison with Government / Statutory Authorities General Affairs (Administration) Provident fund professional tax. Iso 9001:2008 etc
*  Will be administrating and formulating new HR policies for the company
*  Ensure that all staff is in compliance with the administrative and human resource policies of Prakruthi
*  Train the staff on administrative record keeping and management of required tracking of databases
*  Ensure that the human resources database is accurate and up to date.
*  File Maintenance – updated, organized, clearly marked, and complete
*  Make sure that prospectus and performance reports from all programme people are produced and filed and documented.
*  Manage the recruitment and training of Prakruthi staff
*  Assist in the identification, development and facilitation of training sessions for these staff to ensure that they are well trained and have adequate resources to achieve Prakruthi’s objectives
*  Manage the on-line data management system of Prakruthi
*  Safety and Security


Communication
*  Communicating with external agencies and preparing documents for the same
*  Web site content management with the technical support and programme team
*  Maintain excellent communication and build strong relationships with internal program managers and facilitate an effective internal communication system
*  To write stories and case studies about interesting and relevant incidents / activities / situations in a presentable to and maintain easily accessible a data bank of same.
*  To proactively seek out and source interesting and unusual story ideas and news opportunities to help generate media interest in the Prakruthi’s work.
*  Assisting in developing newsletters and publications
*  Handling the audio-visual and other communication equipment
*  Coordinate donor and media visits
*  Develop and maintain good relations with donors, supporting companies and local journalist
*  Assist in developing IEC materials like posters, pamphlets, brochures etc
*  Coordinating the travel and meeting plans of Executive Director
*  Perform other tasks as requested by the Executive Director
 

Qualifications
*  A post graduate degree in Human resource management or related filed
*  5 to-10 years experience in general HR and administration preferably in an INGO/NGO or corporate sector
*  A self-starter and ability to perform in minimum supervision
*  Matured, systematic , flexible, high integrity and confidentiality
*  Excellent people management skills
*  Excellent written and spoken skills in English

What we offer:
An annual CTC of 3.6 lakhs to 4.00 lakhs depends on qualification and experience including other employee benefits like PF and insurance and salary is not a constraint for right candidates.
