ASSIGNMENT LENGTH: Four Years – Annually renewable
JOB DESCRIPTION:.
The Clinical Project Coordinator will be responsible for the organization and oversight of key operational aspects of the progesterone vaginal ring trial. The project coordinator will manage project-related priorities and will work with Dr. Khan to ensure the progress of trial activities. This person will also make certain that the clinical trial is conducted in accordance with ICH/Indian Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and the Council’s standard operating procedures .
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Input, maintain and track site and study metrics in spreadsheet/database system
2. Distribute and manage inventory of study materials [Case Report Forms (CRF) binders] and clinical supplies
3. Serve as a liaison between the different parties involved in the clinical trial
4. Monitor trial progress and identify progress/quality issues; communicates information to study team
5. Create and maintain study files for regulatory documents, significant correspondence and copies of Case Report Forms (CRF); coordinate with Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) to obtain photocopies of CRF pages
6. Support ICMR field monitors and co-monitor as necessary
7. Assist in planning and facilitating study meetings; assemble meeting materials
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Medical degree (MD preferred); a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience (in case of MD it could be relaxed to 5 years experience). Experience of working in pharmaceutical industries or CRO will be of added value
2. Excellent understanding of the clinical research and acceptability study process
3. Thorough knowledge of ICH/Indian GCPs
4. Demonstrated ability to coordinate multicenter clinical trials.
5. Computer knowledge. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and SPSS.
6. Willingness and ability to travel as required
7. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills in English
8. Must be detail oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.
9. Demonstrated writing ability in form of publication in peer reviewed journal will be added benefit
