Officer/Manager – Milk Procurement
ITC

remote rural areas in different parts of India. In addition to focus on
natural resources management, equal emphasis is given to off-farm
livelihoods.
To
achieve excellence in its livelihoods programmes in Bihar, ITC is looking
for a dynamic and a highly motivated professional to spearhead its milk
procurement programme through village institutions.
Functional Area:
Procurement/ Co-operatives/ Training
Qualification:
-
Graduate/Post Graduate in Veterinary Sciences/Animal Husbandry or Rural
Management from a reputed institution
- At
least 3-5 years experience of village level procurement and in the
training and guiding field staff responsible for procurement
-
Understanding of and experience in the handling of animal husbandry
services would be highly desirable.
Responsibilities
-
Conceive, plan, organize and structure milk procurement and/or
livestock services policies, pricing structure of payment and
modalities;
-
Form and coordinate collection centres and design and implement a milk
route plan for cost-effective procurement;
-
Organize milk producers into appropriate institutions to
maximize procurement of milk
-
Monitor quality of milk procured with knowledge of field testing, milk
quality standards and field equipments;
-
Assess training requirements and design and deliver
training to milk producers, village institution functionaries, and
field executives
to improve
efficiency of procurement;
-
Coordinate the implementation of animal husbandry services for
improving milk yields
Location
Munger (Bihar) – accommodation can be provided in the Company’s
housing colony
