Level consultants to support Water and Sanitation programme in
Maharashtra
IMaCS is a consulting firm with more than 15 years of
experience in executing consulting assignments across diverse sectors in
India and overseas. IMaCS has been engaged by an UN Agency to provide
Technical financial and human resource support to various programmes and
operation. In this regard, IMaCS invites applications from qualified
candidates for the position of State Level consultants to support
Water and Sanitation programme in Maharashtra for Water and
Sanitation Hygiene (Child’s Environment Programme). The selected
candidate will be responsible to provide specialist inputs to assist the
WASH Officer for implementing innovative approaches and providing inputs
for undertaking higher advocacy with the Government of Maharashtra to
ensure achievement of MDG 7 in the rural areas.
Major Tasks:-
1.
Technical assistance to three focus district
in Maharashtra which is supported by the agency to accelerate the
implementation of TSC and establish a quarterly review mechanism in 3
focus districts TSC Cell
2.
Technical assistance to support UN Agency and
a private sector joint intervention on WASH in 3 blocks of Chandrapur
3.
Technical assistance to State and Districts
on Solid and Liquid Waste Management initiatives and water quality
issues.
4.
Provide organizational support and resource
inputs for the capacity building activities supported by UN Agency for
the training of Block Resource Coordinators and cluster coordinators at
State, Divisional and District level
5.
Technical guidance for implementation of TSC-data
validation and NGP concurrent monitoring exercises in number of districts
followed by analyses of findings and organization of
stakeholder-consultations at regional and district levels
6.
Technical guidance for implementation and follow up of rapid district
level water quality profiling in 15 districts initiated in 2009-2010 by
UN Agency followed by development of district level water safety plan.
Qualification and Experience:

PG in Technical
Qualification with minimum 7 years of experience of working with rural
water and sanitation project.
·
Fluency in spoken/written
English and Marathi (local language) would be an essential qualification
for this assignment.

Previous experience of
working with the sector flagships (TSC & NRDWP) and allied projects (SSA
& NRHM) on WASH components would be considered additional and desirable
qualifications.
Contract Duration and Appointment:
Initially for one year, but renewable. Consultant will be
placed in Mumbai. The professional fee is negotiable and depending on the
past experience. Additional support costs for travel, communications,
