IMaCS is a consulting firm
with more than 15 years of experience in executing consulting assignments
across diverse sectors in India and overseas. IMaCS has been engaged by
an UN Agency to provide consultancy support in SPPME programme. In this
regard, IMaCS invites application from qualified candidates for the
position of Consultant for Devinfo Project.
He/ she will provide
technical support to the Social Statistics Division to help co-ordinate
the DevInfo project. This would involve co-ordinating the DevInfo
project; Providing technical support to the Social Statistics Division
and facilitating the institutionalization of the DevInfo project under
the overall guidance of the DDG, Social Statistics Division of the
Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI). The
Consultant will have his/her office in the Social Statistics Division of
the MoSPI’s premises. The role and responsibilities of the consultant are
as follows

To
co-ordinate with the line Ministries/Organizations in capturing latest
data as per required formats in time bound manner.
·
To
facilitate preparation of comprehensive metadata on the statistics put in
DevInfo.
·
To
facilitate reorganization of data as per demand based requirements of
central and state government agencies.
·
To provide
on-site technical assistance in developing short analytical modules for
SSD/Computer Centre Officials.
·
To
facilitate organization of workshop/trainings on DevInfo in various parts
of the country.
·
To assist
Social Statistical Division and Computer Centre in uploading the data on
web on a regular basis and in development of online process for real time
updation of database by representatives of participating Ministries.
·
To
facilitate use of DevInfo in monitoring activities of India Forum on
Child Statistics (INFOCS)
·
To assist
use of DevInfo for tracking of statewise MDG data
Qualifications and
experience:
·
Graduate
Degree in Social Sciences;
·
Computer
proficiency (Word, WordPerfect, Excel, Power Point and data analysis
packages) essential. Good written and verbal communication skills,
negotiation and facilitation skills, as well as ability to work
collaboratively with diverse partners are of added advantage.

Well versed
in handling statistical data;
·
Good
communication skills;
·
Experience
in project coordination;.
·
Knowledge of
DefInfo will be an added advantage
·
Capacity and
willingness to work under pressure.
