The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is an impartial, neutral and independent organization whose exclusively humanitarian mission is to protect the lives and dignity of victims for situations of violence and to provide them with assistance.

The ICRC Regional Delegation is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person for the following position:

1. Position
Job title: Medical Field Officer
Location: Srinagar (Jammu & Kashmir)
Starting date: Immediately

2. Scope of Job
* Plays a key role in networking and developing relations between the ICRC, the medical circles and health
Authorities of Jammu and Kashmir.
* Participates in the implementation of medical assistance programmes, including treatment of patients.
* Participates in the planning and implementation of health-related trainings and seminars.
* Uses his/hers knowledge of the local context and his/hers own technical expertise to provide advice and support regarding the programmes and activities of the Health Department

3. Professional requirements
* Academic qualifications: M.B.B.S, Registered Medical Practitioner with Bachelor's degree in Medicine.
* Work experience: Minimum of 2 years clinical experience.
* Languages: Fluency in English and Urdu.
* Computer Skills: Good computer skills (word & excel)

4. Personal qualities
* Excellent organizational skills.
* Excellent interpersonal and relational skills.
* Understanding of medical confidentiality and interest for medical ethics.
* Experience in humanitarian work is an asset.
* Experience in mental health is an asset
