The ICRC Regional Delegation in India is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person for the following position:- 

1.         Job-Title:                      Field Officer_ Economic Security

Location:                      Jammu

Starting date:               Immediately  

Minimum Experience & Qualification Required:

Ø  Bachelor's degree in economics, social sciences & social work. Master Degree will be an Asset.

Ø  At least 4 years of working experience in the field of relief and rehabilitation, livelihood, socio economic development with reputed organisation(s).

Ø  Fluency in written and oral English and Urdu. Knowledge of Kashmiri will be an asset.

Ø  Good computer skills

Ø  Good knowledge of cultural and socio political values and geography of Jammu & Kashmir..

Ø  Good analytical skills. 

Main Responsibilities:-

Ø  Implementation of relief and rehabilitation programmes for identified beneficiaries in the Jammu region.

Ø  Follow-up the projects and record developments, support the beneficiaries in effective implementation and provide report, data and analysis to ICRC.

Ø  Participate in community level relief and rehabilitation activities and initiate community mobilisation.

Ø  Contribute to a reporting database regarding the economic security activities in Jammu region.

Ø  Support operational partnership with Indian Red Cross's local branches in the Jammu region.

Ø  Support the delegation and the economic security department on ad-hoc basis in emergency response in any other situation in India.

Ø  Good ability to work independently and the capacity to manage and organise resources to meet deadlines.

Ø  High sense of responsibility and organizational skills.

Ø  Resistant to stressful situations and able to work under pressure.

Ø  Capacity to adapt to different situations and integrate changes.

Ø  Sound empathy, team spirit, patience, perseverance and flexibility.

Ø  Ability to handle sensitive information with the required discretion and confidentiality.

Ø  Very good ability to work in multi-cultural environment.

Ø  Communications skills, ability to deal with external visitors/applicants.

Ø  Be available for frequent travel in Jammu & Kashmir even on short notice.

Ø  At ease with figures and statistics
