Opportunity with Prof. Sendhil Mullainathan in Chennai
Prof. Sendhil Mullainathan and two Harvard graduate students are looking for a research associate for two studies located in Chennai, India. The studies are at the intersection of behavioral economics and development economics and the position would provide hands on experience in developing a research question, implementing a study, managing a team of research staff, and gathering and analyzing data. The first study examines the evolution of preferences in marriages and the second study explores the impact of improved nutrition on productivity and decision-making.
Applicants should be highly motivated, good problem solvers, have an interest in development research, and have research experience. In addition, applicants who can start immediately are strongly preferred, however all applicants should be able to begin work by the end of September at the latest and would need to commit to a minimum of 4 months in Chennai.
