GFA Medica is part of the world wide operating German consulting firm GFA Consulting Group GmbH. We plan and implement health projects in developing and transitional economies.

Currently we are preparing our tender offer for the EC-financed Technical Assistance for the implementation of the Health Sector Modernisation Programme II in Syria. This project will start mid August 2011 and run for 40 months.and provide support to Syria's health reform process in order to improve the health status of the Syrian population.

The technical assistance will assist the Ministry of Health in the process of modernisation/reform of the health sector. It will mainly focus on the following areas:
— health policy and planning,
— health financing and health insurance,
— human resources development in the health sector,
— nursing,
— health management system (including hospital management),
— emergency care system,
— health data and health awareness.

We are considering applications from international experts for 3 long term (40 months) key expert positions:
1-Teamleader- Health policy, planning and management expert
2-Health expert in legislation, financing and budgeting
3-Hospital management and quality assurance expert
