Brief description: This post-holder will be a central part of the core administrative management team of the cross Whitehall Climate Change and Energy Unit, which leads on climate change support to the region. S/he will help to support delivery of existing programme delivery and new design work to a high standard. S/he will have significant financial management responsibilities.

The post-holder will have excellent organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines. S/he will have a sound knowledge of development issues and be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of the way DFID can intervene to deliver results. S/he must be able to work independently and be confident in dealing with senior people. S/he will be a strong communicator, with a good track record of working in multi-disciplinary teams and building relationships with government, donors and civil society.
