Centre for Budget
and Governance Accountability (CBGA)
is a Delhi based non-profit organisation.
CBGA promotes transparent, accountable and
participatory governance and adoption of pro-poor government budgets
through in-depth research, sustained policy advocacy and capacity
building activities. In the last few years, CBGA has emerged as a
credible research and advocacy institution working on budget and
governance issues in South Asia.
CBGA is currently inviting applications from
motivated individuals for the following positions:
Senior Finance
and Administration Officer / Finance and Administration Officer
Job
Responsibilities:
-
Be primarily responsible
for all accounting related matters of the organization;
-
Be primarily responsible
for financial administration of the organization;
-
Prepare balance sheet &
financial statements for the organization;
-
Facilitate regular
internal as well as statutory audit of the organisation;
-
Ensure compliance with
govt. regulations and procedures (Income Tax, FCRA, PF, Gratuity as
well as Charity Commissioner, etc);
-
Be primarily responsible
for regular correspondence with banks, vendors, third party and donors
relevant to the functioning of the organization;
-
Supervise the routine
administrative tasks, such as maintenance of the leave records, office
equipments (with assistance
from the Admin and Accounts Assistant/Associate), etc.;
-
Supervise the routine
financial tasks like preparation of salary slips, maintenance of cash
book & bank book; maintenance of
vouchers (with assistance from the Admin and Account
Assistant/Associate);
-
Supervise the routine
tasks pertaining to organizing meetings, handling travel arrangements
and other logistical arrangements for meetings/workshops/conferences
(with assistance from the Admin and
Account Assistant/Associate); and
-
Undertake other tasks
entrusted from time to time for better management of the office.
Qualification and Experience:
Postgraduate
in Commerce / MBA
(Finance) / CA (Inter) / ICWA (Inter) with at least 5 years of work
experience or Graduate in Commerce with at least 7 years of
experience in – Finance and Accounts work, NGO Accounting, FCRA, Income
Tax, Provident Fund, Gratuity, Donor reporting and
should
have good working knowledge
of Tally ERP and MS-Office (Word and Excel).
Other competencies
required for the post are:
High level of proficiency
in English, knowledge of Hindi, excellent written and verbal
communication skills, ability to work in a team and other co-ordination
skills, computer skills are a must, willingness to travel.
Work experience in similar
fields will be an advantage.
Remuneration:
The monthly cost to company (CTC) will be in the range of Rs. 35,000/- to
Rs. 45,000/- depending on qualification and experience.
