Chemonics International, a leading global consulting firm based in Washington, D.C., seeks senior-level health specialists for long-term and short-term assignments on an anticipated U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) project in India focused on behavior change communication for improving healthy behaviors. The project will provide technical assistance to develop sustainable national, state and district-level capacity to design, implement and evaluate strategic communication campaigns that will a) increase knowledge and promote positive attitudes about health; b) foster a supportive environment in which community and other key influencers are supportive of positive health behaviors, and c) reduce barriers of vulnerable populations to demand and access health services. The project will work at the national level with an office in New Delhi and in the state of Uttar Pradesh with an office in Lucknow.
The project will require specialists in the following areas:
• Behavior Change Communication
• Monitoring and Evaluation
• Public-Private Partnerships
• Advocacy
• Health Systems Strengthening
• Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health and Nutrition
• Reproductive and Family Planning
• Reproductive Health and HIV/AIDS
• Gender Equity
Qualifications:
• Advanced degree or equivalent in public health or related field highly desired
• Minimum 7-10 years of relevant work experience
• Prior experience working with USAID or donor-funded projects preferred
• Fluency in English required
