Traidcraft fights poverty through trade. A Christian response to poverty, we are best known as the UK’s leading fair trade organisation and are engaged in a wide range of trade and development activities.
An exciting opportunity has arisen in Traidcraft’s Supplier Support team, which works closely with our fair trade suppliers in Africa, Asia and Latin America. Typically small and medium enterprises, these food, crafts and consumables suppliers are Traidcraft’s key partners in fighting poverty through trade.
The new team member will take on the role of relationship manager for a number of our overseas suppliers with responsibility for conducting business and social assessments to ensure compliance with Traidcraft’s fair trade principles and policy, as well as managing support projects to develop their capacity to be sustainable businesses.
The ideal candidate will have at least three years’ recent experience of working in a business or business development environment and demonstrate a good understanding of complex supply chains. Strong commercial acumen and excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills are essential for this role. Experience of working with commodities of relevance to Traidcraft is highly desirable. This role requires the ability to undertake extensive international travel
