PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

COUNTRY DIRECTOR/PROJECT DIRECTOR, Indonesia (2001-2007): Responsible for oversight and management of a large sustainable agriculture and environment program. Core program applied Farmer Field School approach for rice and vegetables. Designed and served as Project Director for two additional projects which linked agriculture/agroforestry to reduction of pressure on forest resources. Initiated and provided senior oversight for organic learning farm for vulnerable youth. Overall responsibility for all administration, personnel management, reporting, coordination, and networking with partners and donors.

PROJECT ADVISOR (1999), East Timor: Assisted in management of all aspects of large certified organic coffee and cooperative development operation.

AGRICULTURE PROGRAM SPECIALIST (1995 - 1998): Served as primary technical resource for the design, deployment, management, and monitoring of agricultural development and environment programs worldwide.

RESEARCH ANALYST (APRIL 1991-JANUARY 1995): Responded to requests from USAID Officers and Mission contractors for information on agriculture and environment.

AGRICULTURE EXTENSION AGENT/Peace Corps Volunteer, Philippines (1987-1989): Worked with small farmers to develop sustainable agricultural systems.
