The Institute for One World Health (iOWH) is a non-profit, drug development organization with a mission to develop a portfolio of innovative solutions, both preventive and therapeutic, for some of the world’s most neglected diseases which disproportionately afflict the very poor and marginalized peoples of the world. 3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:  

Reporting to the Director Public Health, the Project Manager (PM) will be responsible for:       

Key Responsibilities

(1) Leading the planning and implementation of projects and developing full scale project plans independently

(2) Working with the Program Team Leader/s (PTLs) and team members to facilitate the development and tracking of goals, objectives, detailed timelines and budgets for assigned project(s)

(3) Working with PTL to define roles and responsibilities of team and team members

(4) Organizing and facilitating meetings, issuing meeting agendas and minutes, tracking and reporting project progress and following up on action items

(5) Communicating with a variety of internal and external stakeholders

(6) Anticipating and identifying discrepancies in priorities, plans and activities for immediate resolution

(7) Working with PTL and Project Management staff to synthesize project-related information and preparing reports, proposals, updates, issues and recommendations for senior management, partners, and funders, as needed

(8) Managing project documentation using existing processes and systems

(9) Troubleshooting issues, help in developing plans, and identifying solutions with the project team

(10) Monitoring and evaluating the project to ensure timely achievement of targets, grants utilization and smooth implementation at field level

(11) Formulating and supervising operational research and studies to improve management practices

(12) Facilitating clinical & non clinical training programs of partners for skill enhancement

(13) Implementing and managing project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs

(14) Coordinating with Finance and Operations team for preparation of financial reports

(15) Providing accurate and timely updates to DCT or Senior Project Manager at the headquarters.

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:          

Qualifications:

Minimum Masters Degree in Social Sciences/ Health/ Project Management or equivalent from a reputed institute. 

Experience:

(1) Minimum eight years of experience in the health or development sector in project management

(2) Minimum five years of experience working as a Project Manager

(3) Demonstrated capacity of developing of project proposal and donor reporting independently. 

Skills:

(1) Proficiency in MS Project management software

(2) Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills

(3) Willing to travel extensively within India.
