Job Description

 Title: Project Manager, Phase 3 Clinical Trial Training Project

Location: New Delhi

Reports To: Director, Clinical Training

Status:             Full Time

MISSION STATEMENT 

The Institute for OneWorld Health develops safe, effective and affordable new medicines for people with infectious diseases in the developing world. 

POSITION SUMMARY 

Under the general technical and administrative supervision of the Director - Clinical Training (DCT), the Project Manager’s primary responsibility will be managing the Phase 3 Clinical Trial Training Project.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following; other duties may be assigned 

  • Works with the PTL and team members to facilitate the development and tracking of goals, objectives, detailed timelines and budgets for assigned project(s)
  • Works with PTL to define roles and responsibilities of team and team members
  • Organizes and facilitates meetings, issues meeting agendas and minutes, tracks and reports project progress, and follows up on action items
  • Communicates with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Anticipates and identifies discrepancies in priorities, plans and activities for immediate resolution
  • Works with PTL and Project Management staff to synthesize project-related information and prepares reports, proposals, updates, issues and recommendations for senior management,

             partners, and funders, as needed

  • Manages project documentation using existing processes and systems
  • Troubleshoots issues, helps develop plans, and identifies solutions with the project team
  • Monitors and evaluates the project to ensure timely achievement of targets, grants utilization and smooth implementation at field level
  • Formulates and supervises operational research and studies to improve management practices
  • Facilitates clinical & non clinical training programs of partners for skill enhancement
  • Implements and manages project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs
  • Coordinates with Finance and Operations team for preparation of financial reports
  • Provides accurate and timely updates to DCT or Senior Project Manager at the headquarters

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS 

·         Masters Degree in Social Sciences/ Health/ Project Management or equivalent required

·         Minimum of 8 years of experience in the health or development sector in project management

  • Minimum of 5 year experience working as a Project Manager
  • Knowledge and understanding of project management
  • Project Management coursework required
  • Proficiency in MS Project management software
  • Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills
  • Willing to travel extensively within India
  • Energetic, resilient and passionate
  • Professional, mature and confident
