IntraHealth International, Inc. is currently accepting expressions of interest from potential Technical Director candidates interested in IntraHealth’s submission for the upcoming USAID-funded maternal and child health project in Benin. The Technical Director for the project is responsible for overall leadership and management of the technical services delivered under the program. S/he provides strategic guidance, vision and leadership to the clinical services, and community health interventions and works closely with the Project Director on all quarterly and annual reports required by USAID.


Successful candidates for the Technical Director position will have a clinical degree or an advanced degree in public health, social science or a related discipline relevant to the field of RH, FP, MNCH, and community health. In addition, candidates will have a minimum of 8 years of senior level experience in MNCH service delivery and the ability to provide technical leadership to senior technical staff. S/he will have previous experience on USAID programs, as well as experience with USAID reporting systems. S/he will possess significant knowledge of the Benin health sector at all levels of the system, including knowledge of health sector reform. The candidate for the Technical Director position should have excellent written and oral communication skills in English and French. S/he must have supervisory experience and be able to negotiate with partners and USAID.
