INSTITUTE OF HEALTH MANAGEMENT RESEARCH, KOLKATA
The Institute of Health Management Research is a
premier institute in India and is credited with pioneering the discipline
of Health Management in India. IIHMR Kolkata is an upcoming centre of
IIHMR Society for states in eastern and north eastern India. At the
moment, research and training constitute the thrust areas for the centre.
IIHMR Kolkata seeks applications from qualified
candidates for the following:
Public Health Specialist:
The incumbent shall be a member of the faculty
at IIHMR Kolkata at the level of Assistant Professor. S/he shall
contribute towards development and successful execution of research and
training projects and discharge teaching responsibilities in the future.
Qualifications and Experience
*
MBBS with MD in Community Medicine or
Master in Public Health (MPH)
*
Excellent academic credentials with
proven track record in public health
*
Relevant teaching and/ or research
experience of 5-7 years
*
Team player with ability to work in a
multidisciplinary work environment
*
Fluency in English and functional
competence in regional language(s) of eastern / north eastern India
*
Willingness to travel as required
Research Officer:
The candidate shall be part of the research team to
aid and assist members of the faculty to successfully accomplish research
projects. Contract period: One year
(extendable upon satisfactory performance)
Qualifications and Experience
*
Post Graduate qualification in Social
Sciences (preferably Anthropology or Sociology )
*
2-3
years of research experience in health issues particularly in qualitative
research methods, including sampling, data collection and analysis
*
Good analytical and writing skills in
English
*
Fluency in at least one local language
of eastern/ north eastern India
*
Team player with ability to work in a
multidisciplinary work environment
*
Willingness to travel as required
Training Officer:
The incumbent shall aid and assist members of the
faculty in design and successful execution of training programmes.
Contract period: One
year (extendable upon satisfactory performance)
Qualifications and Experience
*
Post Graduate qualification in Health/
Hospital Management, Social Sciences, Rural Development, etc
*
2-3 years of relevant experience
including design and conduct of training programmes for healthcare
professionals
*
Good analytical and writing skills (in
English)
*
Functional competence in local
language(s) of eastern/ north eastern India
*
Team player with ability to work in a
multidisciplinary work environment
*
Willingness to travel as required
