The mission of the Interim Haiti Recovery Commission (IHRC) is to seek the coordinated, effective and efficient planning and implementation of priorities, plans and projects in support of Haitifs recovery and development in the wake of the 12 January 2010 earthquake. The IHRC is searching for an outstanding individual to fill the following position in Port-au-Prince:
DIRECTOR OF PERFORMANCE & ANTI-CORRUPTION OFFICE
Main responsibilities
The Director of Performance & Anti-Corruption office (PAO), reporting directly to the co-chairs, is responsible for
* Cultivating, maintaining and promoting a culture of performance, transparency and accountability;
* Monitoring the conduct of IHRC personnel;
* Preventing and addressing corruption and performance issues within the IHRC and in all recovery projects;
* Supervising the PAO team.
Traits and characteristics
* Trustworthy leader with an existing reputation for holding the highest ethical standards;
* Be able to command the immediate respect of multiple stakeholders in the international and Haitian communities;
* Dependability and successful follow-through under challenging professional circumstances.
Qualification requirements
* Proven success in the ability to promote organizational transparency and accountability, and address corruption in a high-visibility context;
* Substantial experience in one or more of transparency, anti-corruption, corporate governance, and auditing or related areas;
* Languages: fluency in English. French and Creole strongly preferred;
* A University degree in government, business, non-profit or related areas with at least 10 years of relevant professional experience.
