The mission of the Interim Haiti Recovery Commission (IHRC) is to seek the coordinated, effective and efficient planning and implementation of priorities, plans and projects in support of Haitifs recovery and development in the wake of the 12 January 2010 earthquake. The IHRC is searching for an outstanding individual to fill the following position in Port-au-Prince:
CHIEF INFORMATION AND ANALYSIS OFFICER
Main responsibilities
The Chief Information and Analysis Officer, reporting to the Director of Strategy and Planning, is responsible for
* Managing and generating the data and analyses to assess Haitifs recovery progress, refine the master plan and sectoral plans, and improve the quality of projects;
* Designing and managing a database that catalogues the plansf milestones and targets;
* Overseeing trainings and their codification in an operations manual;
* Conducting analysis of on the ground activities to understand the reasons for the failure or success of projects and programs.
Traits and characteristics
* Critical thinker with excellent analytical skills;
* Proven management and leadership ability;
* Autonomous and deadline-oriented workstyle.
Qualifications requirements
* Experience in leading data-driven research and statistical analyses, in project management and in generating insights from large amounts of complex data;
* Advanced degree in Engineering, business administration, international studies or information technology with at least 5-10 years of relevant professional experience;
Language: Fluency in both French and English; Creole is strongly preferred.
