The ICRC Regional Delegation in India is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person for the following position:- 

1.         Job-Title:                      Programme Manager_ Economic Security

Location:                      Srinagar

Starting date:               Immediately  

Minimum Experience & Qualification Required:

Ø  Advanced university degree in economic / social sciences / management/ social work.

Ø  At least 6 years of working experience in the field of relief and rehabilitation / livelihood / socio-economic development with a reputed organisation(s). At least 2 years experience at a managerial level is desirable.

Ø  Fluency in written and spoken English and Urdu. Knowledge of Kashmiri will be an asset.

Ø  Team leadership skills, ability to work independently.

Ø  Good knowledge of the socio political values and geography of Jammu & Kashmir.

Ø  Good analytical skills

Ø  Good communication skills 

Main Responsibilities:-

Ø  Planning and programme development.

Ø  Assume independent responsibility of implementation of relief & rehabilitation programmes for identified beneficiaries in Jammu & Kashmir.

Ø  Lead and manage a team of field officers to achieve effective humanitarian impact on socio-economic situation of target population.

Ø  Effectively manage complex interpersonal relationship with various internal & external stakeholders.

Ø  Participate in market assessment and analysis, assess economic environment of beneficiaries, feasibility of interventions.

Ø  Participate in assessment of economic security and vulnerability of defined target population and identify possible intervention.

Ø  Develop operational partnership with the Indian Re Cross Society branches In Jammu & Kashmir.

Ø  Initiate community level relief and rehabilitation activities and participate in community mobilisation.

Ø  Contribute to a reporting database regarding the economic security activities in Jammu & Kashmir region.         

Personal Qualities:-

Ø  Good ability to work independently and the capacity to manage and organise resources to meet deadlines.

Ø  High sense of responsibility and organizational skills.

Ø  Resistant to stressful situations and able to work under pressure.

Ø  Capacity to adapt to different situations and integrate changes.

Ø  Sound empathy, team spirit, patience, perseverance and flexibility.

Ø  Ability to handle sensitive information with the required discretion and confidentiality.

Ø  Very good ability to work in multi-cultural environment.

Ø  Communications skills, ability to deal with external visitors/applicants.

Ø  Available for frequent travel in areas of Jammu & Kashmir even on short notice.

Ø  At ease with figures and statistics
