Regional Project Manager
International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness
Location: Melbourne CBD

• Salary package: $70,000-$85,000 p/a
The International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) is seeking a motivated and experienced project manager to become a key driver in efforts to eliminate avoidable blindness in the Western Pacific region (WPR).
The IAPB is a coordinating, umbrella organisation which leads international efforts in blindness prevention activities and promotes the global initiative VISION 2020: The Right to Sight. IAPB's core objective in the WPR is to strengthen regional and national blindness prevention activities and coordination throughout the region. Working with partners in 28 countries, headquarters are based in Melbourne and 5 regional co-chairs are situated across Asia and the Pacific.
Reporting to the IAPB Western Pacific Region Chair and Program Manager, the primary objectives of this position include:
• Coordination and management of a variety of international projects and initiatives
• Budget monitoring and reporting for the region
• Data, research and information collection and dissemination;
• Reporting on team activities, initiatives, projects and other work in the region;
• Strengthening IAPB’s communications strategy and network in the Western Pacific Region
• Providing support to IAPB Program Manager, Chair, and Co-Chairs in the delivery of advocacy, capacity-building and other such initiatives
• Liaising with IAPB Sub-Regional Co-Chairs and broader IAPB team.
This position is a fixed term contract of 18 months, with a view to extension subject to funding.
Applications are sought from candidates with relevant experience in international development, international relations, or public health. Salary is negotiable and will vary depending on the candidate’s level of experience.
