Project Co-ordinator, Forest Sector Transparency
Location: London, UK with international travel to partner countries.
Last Date: April 15, 2011
Global Witness is an international NGO that exposes the corrupt exploitation of natural resources and international trade systems, to drive campaigns that end impunity, resource-linked conflict, and human rights and environmental abuses.
Our success is built through detailed on-the-ground investigations and uncompromising campaigning to break the links between natural resources, conflict and corruption.
Global Witness has been implementing a major forest transparency programme aimed at strengthening civil society’s abilities to create forest transparency in forest rich countries.
To ensure our continued success with this exciting project, we are seeking a highly motivated and versatile self-starter to support and co-ordinate the overall project implementation. This varied and busy role involves co-ordination, monitoring and reporting of sub projects, and developing and maintaining a monitoring and evaluation system.
Applicants must have excellent project co-ordination skills with experience of working within forests, campaigning or development sectors, a proven track record of financial project planning, management and reporting as well as fluency in French. A working knowledge of Spanish is also desirable.
This position also involves international travel to partner countries.
