 Financial and Administrative Programme Manager

Futures Group Europe is a specialist consultancy providing support to public health and international development, including in relation to sexual and reproductive health and rights, HIV and AIDS and broader health systems strengthening. We are looking for an outstanding Financial and Administrative Programmes Manager to provide financial, and contracts management, overall office management and administrative support to Futures Group’s recently awarded project on Reproductive and Child Health funded by the European Union (EU).

The Financial and Administrative Programmes Manager will be based full time in New Delhi and will report to the project Team Leader.


Office Management

  • Oversight of the management and good functioning of the whole project office
  • Establishment of office norms and procedures to be followed by the team, with the support of the Team Leader

Line Management

  • Management and support of the Administrative Assistant

Financial Management

  • Administer the programme’s finances, including compliance with standards of the EU and of Futures Group
  • Work with the Team Leader and the Future Programmes Manager in London  to ensure that services are delivered within agreed budget
  • Ensure that all financial reporting obligations of the project are complied with
  • Administer all aspects of financial management for the programme, in compliance with EU and Futures Group standards and procedures, providing information to enable effective financial management for the programme
  • To provide financial reports, information and analyses to the Team Leader and Futures Programmes Manager in London and to meet EU and Futures Group financial reporting obligations.
  • Provide support to Futures Group in their financial management processes for this project, whenever required.
  • Facilitate EU and Futures Group project audit, whenever required.


  • Oversee administrative activities of the office and provide guidance to the Administrative Assistant.
  • Anything else required in support of the success and smooth running of the office.


General Responsibilities

  • Liaise effectively  with partners, team members, donor, staff and other stakeholders
  • Undertake such other duties and tasks as may lie within the scope of this role to ensure the effective delivery and development of the programme
  • Other duties as assigned by the Team Leader


Qualifications and Experience:

  • MBA or a degree in accounting, finance or a similar qualification
  • At least seven (7) years of experience of financial management with donor funded programmes
  • Experience of managing contractual and financial management issues
  • Proven administrative, leadership and management ability in the areas of financial management and administrative support


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge and hands-on experience of accounts, bookkeeping and budgeting
  • Computer literate with hands-on experience of office IT systems, including MS Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Knowledge of administrative or office management capacity
  • Knowledge of EU compliance desirable
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to pay attention to detail and multi-task
