Social
Accounting and Audit (SAA) is a flexible and multi-perspective
framework to measure and track performance and impact of development
programs. It is applicable in the context of Government programs,
CSR initiatives, NGO projects as well as to explore the social
outcomes of Social Enterprises. Originally developed in the UK, it
has been applied in India since 2003, and recently a SAN-India
Chapter has been formed. More information is available on
www.socialauditnetwork.org.uk and on
www.san-india.org.
SAN
India and Business and Community Foundation (BCF) are organizing a
2-day ‘Master Class’ workshop at the India International Centre in
Delhi on 20th and 21st January 2011. This
training program will provide an in-depth understanding of SAA and
its applicability in various contexts. The workshop will also equip
participants to prepare Social Accounts on their own- a Manual will
also be distributed. The course fee is Rs. 10,000 per participant
and for organizations nominating more than one person we are
offering a discounted rate of Rs. 7,500 per participant. This is
inclusive of the cost of the manual.
