Catalyzing good governance in developing countries through use of
Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
DigitalGovernance.org Initiative of DevNetJobs.org to be represented at the WSIS in Geneva Dec 11, 2003
December 7, 2003: The DigitalGovernance.org Initiative http://www.digitalgovernance.org , which aims at identifying and propagating strategic e-governance models in developing countries, will be represented at the World Summit on the Information Society in Geneva on December 11, 2003.
The DigitalGovernance.org founder, Mr Vikas Nath will be speaking on "Creation of Politically-relevant and Citizen-centred E-governance models in developing countries" at the UNDP and Smithsonian Institute organized event @WSIS: Moving from Policy to Action. DigitalGovernance.org project is run through the support of DevNetJobs.org's global network. Over 2500 people are virtually linked through the DigitalGovernance.org initiative to identify and evaluate e-governance models that are suited to developing countries. Efforts are underway to propagate such models through advocacy, providing peer-support and creation of regional e-leadership maps.
