The Caribbean HIV & AIDS Alliance (CHAA) was established in January 2003,and currently work with most of risk community in Antigua & Barbuda, Barbados, Jamaica, St Kitts & Nevis, St Vincent & the Grenadines, Trinidad & Tobago the objective of CHAA’s programme is to prevent new HIV infections and mitigate the impact of AIDS among vulnerable groups in the Caribbean.

We are seeking to recruit highly qualified and motivated individuals for an upcoming United States Agency for International Development (USAID) funded Eastern Caribbean Community Action Project II which will expand CHAA operations into three additional countries of the Eastern Caribbean.

Chief of Party
Base Trinidad & Tobago


Reporting To: Executive Director

The Chief of Party will have ultimate responsibility for achieving program results of EC-CAP II This includes meeting all technical targets; maintaining financial control of the project; managing staff and nurturing the relationship between the project, USAID and National AIDS programmes in the EC-CAP Program countries.

Key responsibilities will include:

ultimate responsibility for the outputs and expected results of the project
• Oversight of financial management of the project with the Head and Finance and Administration, Supervising Finance specialist.
• Ensure the program activities and reporting are in full compliance with USAID and PEPFAR guidelines, and CHAA core mission and values
• Project representation with national governments, USAID , regional EC CAP partners
• Ensure that the project follow and comply within USAID rules and regulations
• Supervision of key staff
• Be responsible for the development of operational work plan, quarterly and annual reports.
• In consultation with Technical Director, develop Terms of reference for strategic partners
• Act as a member of the Senior Management Team of the organisation.

Qualifications and Experience
• MPH/MPA/MBA or masters in relevant field
• Demonstrated experience as a senior manager (a minimum of 7 years) of complex USAID-funded grants programs is required;
• Five years’ experience in managing HIV/AIDS programs and health related projects; community level programming a plus
• Demonstrated ability to establish and sustain interpersonal and professional relationships with USAID Mission, international PVOs, and local CBOs
• Excellent writing and communication skills
