The private sector has a critical role to play in reducing poverty. CARE’s private sector engagement team is recruiting a two Private Sector Advisors (Asia/Africa) to help expand and build on our innovative work with the private sector to leverage resources, improve policies and practices and to challenge market systems to be more inclusive, creating real and better opportunities for poor people.
As Private Sector Advisor (Asia/Africa) you will already have a keen interest in and understanding of the role and responsibility of markets and companies in development. You will be able to utilise your considerable experience of private sector development approaches in providing technical advice and guidance to country offices, building capacity of CARE staff and partners, promoting and contributing to reflective learning, building innovative partnerships with the private sector, and management oversight of initiatives.
You will have excellent project management skills, including the ability to oversee budgets and conduct effective monitoring and evaluation. You will be a strong communicator, confident in taking the lead for CARE on private sector issues and have a good understanding of what it takes to support initiatives and teams across a broad geographical spread.
