Short & Long-term Positions in Private Sector, Enterprise Development, Value Chain, and Market Development Programs
Action for Enterprise (AFE) is a US-based, not-for-profit international development organization. Its staff, for over 15 years, has been leaders and innovators in the field of private sector development, specializing in value chain and sustainable market-based approaches to alleviating poverty. AFE works with the support of donor agencies to provide short-term technical assistance, long-term project implementation and training in the latest concepts and practical tools in the enterprise development field.
AFE is presently recruiting junior and senior-level, private sector development professionals for a variety of activities that include providing technical assistance for short- and long-term project activities and expanding AFE’s training programs in value chain program design and implementation. Candidates who apply should have the following qualifications:
• At least 5-10 years experience working with the private sector in developing countries, including micro, small and medium-sized businesses
• Excellent English writing skills
• Candidates with an advanced degree (preferably in business administration) training experience, and/or experience managing a long-term overseas project will be more competitive
