Position Description
Job Title: Manager Finance
Job Location: Delhi
Reports to: Director of Operations & Administration, India
Controller, IOWH , San Francisco,
CA, USA
Position Summary: The Manager of Finance will be fully
responsible for all financial issues in India and will co-ordinate with
the Controller in the USA to adhere to Company policies and directives.
He/She will work hand in hand with the Director of Operations, India in
managing the daily financial issues of IOWH in India.
The person will oversee all financial planning and
accounting practices, direct treasury, accounting, budgeting, tax, and
audit activities of the Indian offices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
include the following; other duties may be assigned.

Responsible for maintaining and growing the finance department staff.
This includes hiring and training of all personnel in New Delhi and
Patna, Bihar.

Provide
leadership and direction for all facets of the finance department
staff.

Provide
timely and accurate monthly financial statements to the Director of
Operations, India and to the Controller, USA.

Prepare
yearly budgets for the organization and also for each grant
administered from India. Update these budgets as needed during the
year.

Help the
Director of Operations prepare new grant applications to be submitted
to the Controller USA for review.

Responsible for the annual audit for the Indian Operations. Prepare
workpapers for auditors, and financial statements on a GAAP basis.

Involved
in preparing the annual tax return for the organization with the
outside Charted Accountant firm.

Administrator all Indian treasury functions.

To analyze
actual to budget each month for the organization and to take aggressive
steps to rectify any major discrepancies.

Work with
various Indian governmental organizations to keep IOWH compliant.

Prepare
Monthly MIS report for all expenses head and maintain records for
payment of all monthly recurring expenses.

Ensure
that all statutory payment is made within the allowed time frame.

Forecast
and prepare monthly fund request Project Wise in consultation with
Program Team Leaders.

Ensure
payment of Staff and Vendor bills in time.

Ensures
issue of TDS certificates of staff and vendors as and when due.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
·
Bachelor’s degree required in business or accounting;
advanced business degree preferred
·
A Chartered Accountant certificate is highly desirable
·
Have had complete general ledger experience; account
reconciliations, journal voucher preparation; financial statement
preparation
·
User of Accounting Software – Financial Edge would be
helpful
·
10 years plus of accounting and business experience
required
·
Strong management skills required to interact in a growing
organization
·
Prior Non-Profit or Pharmaceutical experience is also
highly desirable
