Programme Officer - Agriculture

To achieve excellence in its diverse portfolio of programmes in Rajasthan, ITC is looking for a dynamic and a highly motivated professional to spearhead these initiatives by promoting sustainable agricultural practices through village institutions.

Functional Area: Extension/ Market linkages/ Village Institutions/ Training

Person Specification:

• Graduate/Post Graduate in agriculture from a reputed institution
• At least 3 years experience in promotion of improved agricultural practices to increase farm productivity.
• Experience in market-based activities or promotion of sustainable agricultural practices through village institutions will be a distinct advantage

Responsibilities

·      Administration and management of the agriculture extension/crop development projects to ensure timely completion of targets

·      Frame out and implement the institutional structure and mechanism for execution and future management.

·      Design and implement systems and procedures for smooth execution and operational efficiencies

·      Assist and guide the key personnel of the implementing agency for efficient implementation

Deliverables

·      Plan and design appropriate agricultural intervention strategies,

·      Prepare estimates

·      Timely completion of targets of desired quality

·      Timely submission of reports on achievements against targets and impact indicators
