This is a
post for a three-year study aimed at evaluating the impact of household
sanitation on diarrhoea and helminth infections. The study takes place in
the district of Puri, Orissa and is being conducted by the London School
of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, WaterAid India, the Xavier Institute of
Management, Bhubaneswar and in collaboration with local NGOs. The post
holder will be responsible for data management during that period.
Key roles
and responsibilities :

Assist in the development and implementation of strategies
for data cleaning and in the design and programming of databases

Contribute to developing and maintaining documentation and
data management guidelines

Query data inconsistencies and revise questionnaire forms
-
Review, analyze, and validate data to ensure consistency,
integrity and accuracy based on project specific guidelines
-
Maintain study data accuracy through review of forms for
completeness and consistency

Generate data retrievals and summaries
Person specifications

Masters degree in statistics or related field
-
At least 3 years experience in data management in the
context of health research

Excellent command of data management software such as
Access, EpiInfo, Epidata, and statistical software such as STATA or SPSS
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in
English
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Ability to work flexible hours
