Food Fortification in Rajasthan under Integrated Program Strategy, Rajasthan with financial support from GAIN

Invites applications for various below positions:-

Ø  PROJECT COORDINATOR

The Project Coordinator will be lined managed by the Project Director.  He will lead and coordinates all activities under the project including operations, implementation, administration, expenditure management and external relations with other stakeholders and donors.  The PC will assist PD in management of PMU, financial and administrative operations, directs staff, and develops and implements effective project strategies. The PC will maintain productive relationships with the state and national government, donors, national and international organizations, partners, and the media.

 
Requirement and Qualification

·         Doctorate or Master's degree in Public Health /Management/Demography/Statistics /Nutrition/Food technology.

·         3-5 years of progressively responsible professional experience in designing, leading, developing and implementing a health and nutrition project at state/national level.

·         Proven track record in strategic planning, program development, and fund management 

·         Strong team-building, representational and diplomatic skills

·         Demonstrated management skills and experience in supervising multi-disciplinary teams; strong analytical and problem- solving skills; excellent verbal and written communication, proven interpersonal and intercultural skills, including flexibility and sensitivity.

 Technical Knowledge

·         Technical knowledge/expertise in Evaluation Process Management, Follow-up on  Professional technical knowledge/expertise in program management & evaluation, nutrition and health data management.

·         Professional technical knowledge/expertise in methodology of M&E, including theories, standards and models, quantitative/qualitative/mixed methods, validity/reliability testing of data, data analysis and interpretation, and statistical inference methods.

 

Ø  PROJECT OFFICER (Monitoring & Evaluation, Quality Control )

Roles and responsibilities

·         To monitor the activities under the implementation of the project in the selected areas.

·         To co-ordinate with the implementing agencies for implementing quality assurance and quality control for food fortification.

·          To ensure the procurement of all essential equipments and premix for selected sites under the project.

·         To ensure the capacity building all concerned staff in the industry for food fortification.

·         To participate in identification of industry (wheat flour mills, oil mills, milk co-operatives) for the food fortification in the project.

·         To work on developing technical MOU for selecting industries in co-ordination with implementing agencies.

·         To liaison with industries representative, Government/Public institutions and implementing agencies.

·         To co-ordinate with other PMU cells for preparing monthly reports and feedback.

·         To contribute in developing narrative and financial reports for GAIN India office. 

Qualifications

Post Graduate with food technology/food science/dairy technology or relevant disciplines with desirable experience in health and nutrition programmes. Having experience in food fortification to address malnourishment among children in India will be given preference.

Salary no bar for the deserving candidates.
