Senior Project Manager
BBC World Service Trust (BBC WST)
Location: London
Last Date: January 3, 2011
Senior Project Manager Ref. 497260
London
The BBC World Service Trust (BBC WST) is the BBC’s international charity, supporting media to advance good governance and enhance people’s capacity to hold government to account, especially in fragile and conflict-affected states. It also works with media to inform, educate and empower people living in poverty to help improve their lives, particularly in the context of health, humanitarian emergencies and climate change.
This is a high profile role within the BBC WST as part of the newly-created Policy and Thematic Team. You’ll lead on delivery of a new policy and research project titled ‘Support to media in closed societies and where media freedoms are at risk’, funded by the Swedish International Development Agency. You’ll play a key role in commissioning and producing policy briefings as part of the DFID-funded ‘Policy and research programme on the role of media and communication in development’.
The role will also provide support across the BBC WST’s portfolio of governance projects; support development of the organisation’s governance strategy; and assist with development of governance-focused proposals and projects.
Applications to be received by 3 January.
