Traidcraft fights poverty through trade. A Christian response to poverty, we are best known as the UK’s leading fair trade organisation and are engaged in a wide range of trade and development activities.
Traidcraft Exchange (www.traidcraft.org) has successfully implemented a range of projects in India through a range of partners by a comprehensive approach of trade, support and influence. The India programme is currently worth nearly 4 million pounds.
With the increasing scale of work in India the successful candidate will perform a key role in the implementation of the India projects and will deputise for the Country Director where appropriate. You will assist the Country Director in developing and expanding the network of Traidcraft across India and optimise our impact. With direct oversight of projects, you will also be the main liaison person with the partner organisations for project staff recruited by their organisations.
The successful candidate will be a proactive Development professional with strong communication and organisational skills.
