World Vision, one of the world's largest international Christian humanitarian aid organizations, seeks a National Director for its office based in Niamey. World Vision operates 17 area development programs across the country plus 27 other projects focused on creating a better life for the children of Niger. We are looking for a leader and manager with the following attributes:
• Track record of significant and successful senior management and leadership experience while creating an environment of innovation and entrepreneurship.
• Knowledge and experience in one of the following: international development, emergency relief (domestic or international) and/or advocacy. Must demonstrate familiarity of the other two.
• Strong networking skills; previous experience building coalitions with bilaterals, multilaterals, government, foundations churches, the NGO community and corporations.
• Knowledge of financial management, audit and compliance of multi-million USD budgets.
• Fluency in French and English.
• Demonstrated understanding of Niger's political, social-economic and cultural context strongly preferred; previous experience in Africa required.
• Masters degree or equivalent experience in management
Successful candidate must show history of leading and managing large organizations (200+ employees) with complex stakeholder environments. Candidate must be mature leader with proven track record in generating results.
