Last Date: July 6, 2010
An unusual opportunity to use your world class financial skills to help free families and communities from poverty through microcredit.
VisionFund is a network of 43 microfinance organisations focused on creating opportunities for families to break the vicious cycle of poverty. Working closely with its sister organisation World Vision, and sharing its Christian values, it serves 624,000 borrowers and 2.2 million children in 43 countries. It has a loan portfolio of US$381 million and achieves a repayment rate of 97%.
Reporting to the CEO, you will use your financial acumen to drive strategic growth of this portfolio by advising and mentoring the microfinance partners as well as ensuring strong financial integrity. The role is broad and will include responsibility for financial strategic planning, financial controls, risk management, performance targets and debt and equity funding.
We are seeking a professional with strong corporate financing, treasury management and funding experience with exposure to working in a complex corporate culture, myriad partners and intricate financial systems. You will be a visionary leader, with the ability to bring the best out of people in a wide variety of cultures and have a passion for helping the poor.
This role, which will be based from the successful candidate’s home in the South East of England, is a unique opportunity to make a difference to the lives of some of the most vulnerable and marginalized families around the world.
