Associate Director of International Communications
Dynamic, globally-focused public health advocacy organization seeks Associate Director of International Communications to develop, implement, and support media advocacy campaigns in low- and middle-income countries. Responsibilities: help implement systems for gathering information and analyzing the results of CTFK’s media programs; develop strategies to enhance ability of NGOs in selected countries to conduct effective media advocacy; help analyze and update multi-language website; develop ways to increase the capacity of the media to report on tobacco control, including journalism workshops and other programs.
Qualifications: Broad client-services experience in the field of media strategy and public relations, and/or particular experience serving NGO clients; experience in web development in an advocacy context; demonstrated ability to develop and implement media and communications strategies in support of policy change and implementation in low- and middle-income countries; minimum 7 years relevant experience; excellent writing, speaking and editing skills (English); fluency in written and spoken language of Asia, Africa or Eastern Europe strongly preferred; ability to handle multiple tasks in fast-paced environment; ability and desire to travel overseas periodically.
