Oxfam is an International confederation of 14 independent, non-governmental organizations working together with over 3,000 partners in 99 countries to achieve our vision of ‘a just world without poverty’. Our Secretariat is based in Oxford, with advocacy offices in Washington DC, New York, Brussels and Geneva.

We’re looking for an inspirational and creative leader with an acute political antennae and extensive senior-level field experience of response strategies in a range of humanitarian crises.

This is an influential role which provides strategic and operational leadership to the Oxfam International Humanitarian Consortium, the group of five Oxfam Affiliates who lead on Humanitarian Response. It also ensures integration between our humanitarian advocacy and emergency response work. In close liaison with the Consortium’s Management Group, you will also be making a significant contribution to the quality of humanitarian programmes at country level, with responsibility for high standards of monitoring, evaluation and learning functions.
 

An accomplished facilitator, networker and negotiator, you also combine strong analytical and financial management skills with a working knowledge of the humanitarian rights framework. Fluency in written and spoken English, and familiarity with either French or Spanish, will be essential.
