The Institute of Rural Research & Development (IRRAD) is an initiative of the Sehgal Foundation and is one of the leading nonprofit organizations working in Mewat district of Haryana. IRRAD’s mission is to help reduce poverty and improve the quality of life in rural India. IRRAD works through its four main centers; Rural Research Centre (RRC), Capacity Building Centre (CBC), Natural Resources Management (NRM) and Policy, Governance and Advocacy (PGA).

IRRAD has the following opening for its Rural Research Center (RRC):

Scientist (Research Linkages)

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

1. Write research proposals (to procure external funding through projects) which align with the current work of the organization
2. Liaison and network with external organizations to procure externally funded projects
3. Form linkages with other universities and research institutes to invite doctoral and post doctoral students to IRRAD
4. Conduct research studies on poverty, and livelihood dynamics and bring out research publications.
5. Upscale the visibility of IRRAD through the established partnerships, linkages and publications

The minimum qualification is a PhD degree in Economics or related sciences with at least two years experience. The candidate must have excellent communication and written skills and ability to network with academic institutions and other development organizations. Experience in writing research proposals is a must.
