The Institute of Rural Research & Development (IRRAD) is an initiative of the Sehgal Foundation and is one of the leading nonprofit organizations working in Mewat district of Haryana. IRRAD’s mission is to help reduce poverty and improve the quality of life in rural India. IRRAD works through its four main centers; Rural Research Centre (RRC), Capacity Building Centre (CBC), Natural Resources Management (NRM) and Policy, Governance and Advocacy (PGA).

IRRAD has the following opening for its Rural Research Center (RRC):

Associate Scientist (Impact Assessment)

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

1. Conduct impact assessment studies related to program interventions focusing on water, health, education and agriculture and bring out research publications.
2. Perform advanced statistical and econometric analysis and assist in writing reports
3. Conduct research studies on poverty, and livelihood dynamics and bring out research publications.
4. Work in close collaboration with other themes within the Rural Research Centre to bring in harmony in micro and macro studies being conducted.

The minimum qualification is a Master or M.Phil. degree in Economics or Statistics. The candidate is expected to have advance knowledge of advanced statistical and econometric tools. Candidates with one to two years experience will be given more preference. The candidate must have excellent communication and written skills.
