across diverse sectors in India and overseas. IMaCS has been engaged by
an UN Agency to provide technical assistance towards financial and human
resources management for various programmes in Assam & other North-East
States.
IMaCS invites
applications from qualified candidates for the positions of
State Consultant for Anaemia
Control Program
for Guwahati, Assam. He/she will provide regular support to the key
departments namely Education, NRHM & ICDS for project formulation,
implementation & regular monitoring to assess the scale of implementation
of ACP among children, adolescent girls, pregnant & Lactating mothers.
Major Tasks to be accomplished :

To support
the Govt of Assam on Anaemia Initiatives,
·
Data
compilation, analysis and reporting,
·
Undertake
regular field visits to support field functionaries of sectoral/line
departments,
·
Develop
state-specific guidelines for Anaemia Control in Children, Adolescent
Girls & Pregnant Mothers
·
Develop
comprehensive plan to address Anaemia Control among children,
·
Develop
training module for field functionaries on Anaemia Control &
Management,
·
Liaise
with line departments’ viz. NRHM, DHS, DSW & Education to improve
quality of inputs for Anaemia,
·
Undertake
regular monitoring & develop monitoring mechanisms through field
visits, data analysis, etc.
Official Travel involved (itinerary and duration)

to 15 days in selected districts.
Qualification and Experience:
·
Graduate
or Post Graduate Training in Medicine, Nutrition, Behavioural Sciences
or Public Health
·
Familiar
with the practical application of Planning and Management of Nutrition
(Micro nutrition) initiatives, especially Anaemia Control.
·
Previous
work experience in Nutrition programs/ projects and field experience
mandatory.
·
Previous
experience in working with UN agencies is an asset.
·
Fluency in
English and Assamese (preferable).
·
Good
written and verbal communication skill, negotiation and facilitation
skills as well as ability to work collaboratively with diverse
partners.
·
Working
knowledge of MS Office essential, knowledge of data analysis packages
preferable.
·
Ability to
work in a multi-cultural environment
Contract Duration and
Appointment: Initially for one year, may be
