This is an exciting opportunity to lead and develop Cecily’s Fund, an organisation that is helping thousands of orphaned and vulnerable Zambian children to have a better start in life through education.

Cecily’s Fund, a British non-governmental organisation, was founded in 1998 and now has six staff members and annual income of approximately £600,000. It works with partners in Zambia to ensure that orphaned and vulnerable children there are able to access primary and secondary education, and post-school opportunities for employment and vocational training. We achieve this by providing direct support to individual children and young people, a peer health education programme and advocacy.

We are seeking an experienced development professional to take over from our out-going Director. The Director has full responsibility for leading on Cecily’s Fund’s activities – including programme development and implementation, fundraising, administration and personnel.

You will be innovative, dynamic and able to work on your own initiative in managing the UK office team, fundraising, and liaising closely with our Zambian partners. You will have a good depth and breadth of experience of the development profession, and experience of working in Africa.

You will need your own transport as the office is in a rural location.
